Job Overview

Come and Join Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, where we offer a wide variety of challenging and rewarding roles within a supportive, innovative, and dynamic work environment!

We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our team within the RECONNECT Service in the Directorate of Mental Health.

The role of the Liaison & Diversion/RECONNECT Peer Support Worker has been developed specifically for individuals who have lived experience within the Criminal Justice System as an offender. The value of lived experience is pivotal in this role in supporting this population of people as this adds value to the support offered. The Peer Support Worker uses their own unique, life-altering experience to guide and support others who are in a similar situation. Peer Support Workers provide support from the perspective of someone who has first-hand experience, something that professionals cannot learn from training or education.

The post holder will have a keen interest in health and justice and a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals in contact with the Criminal Justice system under the supervision of a Liaison & Diversion/RECONNECT practitioner. The post holder will work as part of a team and liaise closely with Criminal Justice Partners to work with individuals who have been referred. The peer support worker will support service users to access and engage with community support services for their identified needs.

This role will operate over Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00, covering 22.5 hours per week.

The health and wellbeing of our team members is very important to us and we offer a robust induction period, as well as regular supervision and support. You will have opportunities to progress your career with a structured learning journey that will enable you to achieve your long-term goals and work to your strengths.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
