The role
We are seeking an experienced, proactive library professional to lead engagement with departments supporting the Pre-clinical Medical and Veterinary Medicine Tripos (MVST). This varied role combines teaching, collection management, and relationship-building to support learning, teaching, and research across the School of Biological Sciences (SBS)
As Liaison Librarian (MVST) you will
- Design and deliver training sessions in partnership with staff and colleagues across SBS and SBS Libraries Teams.
- Deliver library services across Biological Sciences Libraries.
- Lead on academic liaison with the designated Departments.
- Line manage a Senior Library Assistant.
- Contribute to shared team goals by collaborating effectively and fostering a supportive team culture.

What we are looking for
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
- Experience delivering teaching, training, or learning support both online and in-person.
- Knowledge of academic information resources and databases, with experience in developing user-focused STEM library collections and services.
- Innovative problem-solver with experience in teamwork and staff supervision.
- A customer-focused professional with a commitment to excellent service and flexibility to work across multiple sites.
