We are seeking a dedicated, organised and enthusiastic Librarian to join our supportive team and play a key role in developing our school library as a vibrant learning hub for pupils across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about children's literature, literacy and learning, and who can inspire young people to develop a lifelong love of reading.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a genuine enthusiasm for reading and children's literature, with a commitment to promoting reading for pleasure.
- Be able to create a welcoming, organised and engaging library environment that supports learning and enrichment.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills, maintaining library resources and systems effectively.
- Support pupils in selecting suitable reading materials and developing independent research skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to support curriculum learning and literacy initiatives.
- Be creative and proactive in organising reading events, author visits, book fairs and library displays.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working with young people.
- Be proactive in developing opportunities for pupils to use and enjoy the library beyond timetabled lessons, including supporting wider access to the library where appropriate.

Hours: Part-Time 16 hrs per week (Term Time Only)
Grade: Scale Point 2, SCP 3-4 - (£25,614 p.a - £26,016 p.a.) Actual Salary £9,517 - £9,882 p.a.
