Starting salary for this role is £27,254 (pro rata for part-time colleagues)

Role Purpose
Looking to make a difference? We are looking for a Library Assistant to join Ensbury Park library, delivering important services to local communities. The hours are worked on a Saturday, 9.45am - 1.15pm.
Main Responsibilities
- Working as part of a team to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the library.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all customer enquiries are resolved at first point of contact, signposted or referred as appropriate.
- Aid the public in the use of IT and other library services.
- Promote the library as a community venue, developing and delivering events and activities for children, young people and adults.

The Ideal Candidate
You should have experience of working in a busy customer service environment and the ability to engage positively with customers of all ages. You will be able to work effectively in a team and unsupervised, and have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
