The role

This campus-based role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Library Customer Services Team, delivering accessible and inclusive front-line services to students and researchers across the University.

Library Support is a dedicated team within Customer Services providing support to students with a wide range of disabilities, learning differences and health conditions. The team also supports students who may have limited time on campus, including part-time students, and those with caring responsibilities.

In this role, you will help students to access both physical and digital resources for study and research. You will also support students to identify and use suitable places to study across the University's libraries and study spaces.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with students who have been recommended for additional support through in-person drop-ins, appointments, and online meetings.
  • Managing enquiries and support referrals received through a busy shared mailbox.
  • Providing tailored assistance through services such as book collection and scanning.
  • Obtaining, adapting, or creating accessible library resources to enhance access for disabled students.
  • Supporting students in making effective use of library and study spaces, including facilitating access to dedicated Library Support study areas.
  • Helping to maintain Library Support study spaces and reporting any issues to ensure they remain welcoming and accessible.
  • Assisting with Library Support events, library tours, and workshops.
  • Gathering and collating student feedback to inform service development and improvements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
