Lead the Future of Learning

Are you an experienced library professional with a passion for delivering outstanding learning resources and student support? Do you have the leadership skills to drive innovation, digital transformation, and service excellence across a modern educational environment?

We are seeking an ambitious and customer-focused Library & Learning Resources Manager to lead our Library and Learning Resources service across the College.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop an engaging, inclusive, and innovative learning environment that supports student success across Further Education and Higher Education provision.

About The Role

Reporting to the Director of Student Services, you will provide strategic leadership and operational management of the College's library and learning resources services. You will work closely with Heads of School, managers, students, and external partners to ensure our services remain at the forefront of educational best practice.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Leading and sourcing Library and Learning Resources services across the College.
  • Creating modern, accessible learning environments both on campus and online.
  • Ensuring services meet and exceed quality standards required by awarding bodies, universities, and inspectors.
  • Managing library resources, systems, budgets, and performance.
  • Developing innovative digital and academic literacy initiatives.
  • Promoting high levels of student and staff engagement with library services.
  • Managing, coaching, and developing a dedicated Library and Learning Resources team.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, Higher Education partners, and sector networks.
  • Supporting the effective use of emerging technologies to enhance access to learning resources.

Essential Qualifications

  • Chartered Library Status (CILIP) or a recognised Librarianship qualification.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Educated to degree level.
  • A management qualification or equivalent management experience.
