We are proud to be supporting a leading rotary aviation operator as they look to expand their Line Engineering Team in Aberdeen. This opportunity offers both contract (outside IR35) and permanent pathways for skilled B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineers looking to join a reputable and growing organisation within the UK rotary sector.
B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Line Maintenance (Aberdeen)
Location: Aberdeen
Employment: Permanent or Contract (outside IR35 for contractors)
Shift Patterns: 4on/4off/6on/4off/4on/6off (11-hour shifts)
Alternative 7/7 or 14/14 patterns may be discussed
Overview
We are seeking experienced B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join a busy Line Engineering environment supporting a modern rotary fleet. Candidates with AW189, AW139, or S92 experience are highly desirable; however, permanent applicants without type may be considered and supported with a type-rating course within the first 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and certify aircraft line maintenance, including scheduled inspections, modifications, and defect rectification.
- Maintain compliance with all airworthiness and maintenance standards.
- Issue certifications within the scope of company authorisations.
- Report any safety or quality concerns involving personnel, materials, tooling, equipment, or facilities.
- Work collaboratively with the Shift Supervisor and wider engineering team to support operational demands.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- CAA B1.3 Licence (A Licence may be considered for junior entry).
- Right to live and work in the UK.
- Hands-on helicopter maintenance experience.
Preferred:
- Experience on AW189, AW139, or S92.
- Strong rotary line maintenance background.
