The Opportunity
Morson Edge are recruiting for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join a leading Aerospace and Defence programme based at RAF Cosford.
This is an excellent permanent opportunity for an experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer to work within a regulated aviation maintenance environment, supporting aircraft safety, airworthiness and operational readiness.
The role offers the opportunity to work on complex aviation platforms while developing your skills within a highly professional engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in line with regulatory requirements
- Certify completed maintenance in accordance with Part 145 or equivalent approvals
- Diagnose aircraft faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
- Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded and fully compliant with applicable standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality and operational performance
- Work effectively as part of a wider engineering and maintenance team
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and regulatory compliance

Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working within a regulated aviation maintenance environment
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures
- Experience working across relevant aircraft platforms or transferable type experience
- Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with relevant stakeholders
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and airworthiness
Qualifications

- UK CAA qualification or equivalent/similar
- Must hold a B1.1, B1.2, B3 or equivalent/similar aircraft maintenance licence
Security Clearance
Candidates must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS and Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
