B1 or B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer - Line Maintenance
Location: Luton
Shift Pattern: 5/5/4 - Night Shifts
Salary: £67,053 + £9,000 Shift Allowance
We are currently recruiting for experienced B1 and B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join our client’s Line Maintenance operation in Luton, supporting the operation of a leading airline.
The Role:
As a B1 or B2 Licensed Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out and certifying aircraft maintenance activities while maintaining the highest standards of airworthiness, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Working closely with the Shift Leader, Station Manager, and wider maintenance team, you will play an important role in maintaining aircraft serviceability and supporting the airline’s on-time performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out and certify aircraft maintenance and inspection tasks within the scope of your licence and company authorisations.
- Maintain high standards of airworthiness, safety, and operational performance.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company procedures and applicable UK CAA and EASA regulations.
- Complete aircraft/component inspection and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Maintain all required licences, qualifications, training, and company authorisations.
- Support the efficient use of manpower, tooling, equipment, and maintenance resources.
- Maintain clear and accurate written maintenance handovers and shift records.
- Keep relevant customer representatives/MOC informed regarding aircraft serviceability and maintenance status.
- Remain up to date with applicable technical instructions, procedures, and maintenance requirements.
- Identify and escalate Health & Safety concerns appropriately.
- Provide leadership and support to other members of the maintenance team when required.

About You:

Essential requirements:
- UK CAA Part-66 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence
- EASA Part-66 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence
- A320 Type Rating
You will also have:
- A recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship, qualification, or equivalent.
- Previous experience within a line maintenance environment.
- Strong working knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.
- The ability to gain and maintain relevant company and customer authorisations.
- The ability to provide effective team leadership when required.
