Role overview

As a Licensed Conveyancer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Residential Property team's services, managing your caseload and maintaining high standards of legal service to our diverse client base.

The work you'll be doing

  • Managing an individual Residential Property caseload independently, including progressing matters from instruction through to completion, exercising appropriate legal judgement and decision making in accordance with firm policies.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the transaction, providing legal advice, guidance and updates in accordance with the Licensed Conveyancer practising requirements.
  • Providing assistance and supervision to other fee earners within the wider residential team as and when required.
  • Liaising with related third parties including estate agents and mortgage brokers to facilitate smooth property transaction management.
  • Assisting with training/introducing junior fee earners and support staff to SDLT/HMRC, Land Registry systems and procedures and searches.
  • Managing client expectations appropriately and contributing to a positive client experience throughout the transaction lifecycle.

To be successful in this role, it's important that you meet the following requirements:

  • Fully qualified Licensed Conveyancer
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience managing residential property files independently.
  • Proficient in digital Land Registry portals, legal case management systems and MS Office Applications.
  • High attention to detail, strong time management capabilities and an exceptional client care track record.
  • Finally, a strong team player who is willing to roll up the sleeves to help others.

The team you'll be joining

The Residential Property team undertakes work for a broad range of clients, including charities, companies with buy-to-let portfolios, executors and first time buyers. We also have a particular emphasis on high net worth clients, both locally and in London.
