Licensed Wireman / Journeyman Electrician

Solar Electrician | Field-Based | Full-Time

About This Role

SpartanX is seeking experienced Licensed Wireman and Licensed Journeyman Electricians to support residential solar installation and electrical operations across our active markets.

This is a hands-on field role for licensed electricians who take pride in clean workmanship, safety, efficiency, and getting the job done right the first time. You'll perform and lead residential solar electrical work, troubleshoot field issues, commission systems, and ensure installations meet NEC and local code requirements.

We're looking for electricians who can work independently, make sound decisions in the field, and represent SpartanX professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and field teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, wire, troubleshoot, and commission residential solar PV systems
  • Perform electrical work for roof-mounted and ground-mounted solar installations
  • Install and work with panels, disconnects, breakers, conduit, wiring, and other residential electrical equipment
  • Interpret electrical drawings, site plans, blueprints, one-lines, and system schematics
  • Ensure electrical work meets NEC standards, local codes, AHJ requirements, and company quality standards
  • Troubleshoot system performance issues, inverter faults, and electrical deficiencies
  • Perform testing and verification of system functionality and electrical safety
  • Identify field conditions that require electrical modifications or corrective work
  • Lead and support installation crews onsite when required
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, photos, and completion records
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and internal Operations teams
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license required
  • Strong residential electrical experience
  • Solar PV experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of NEC requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and system documentation
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in the field
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Professional communication and customer interaction skills
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move equipment throughout the workday

Schedule

Primarily Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday availability required.
