The Regulation & Enforcement Service are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work within the Trading standards & licensing team as a Licensing Compliance Coordinator.

About the Role

The team is responsible for delivering the Council's licensing functions, ranging from Acupuncture to Zoo licensing. A significant element of the team's workload relates to taxi licensing and the licensing of premises which sell alcohol and/or provide regulated entertainment.

The duties include enforcement of licensing legislation, monitoring, and gaining compliance through a range of enforcement duties. These include:

  • Inspection
  • Advice
  • Investigation of complaints
  • Gathering evidence
  • Interview under caution
  • Preparing and presenting cases for prosecution in line with relevant guidance and policies including PACE, RIPA, and the Human Rights Act
