The Role

The Licensing Manager will play a key role in managing relationships with licensors, overseeing licensed properties and product development, and helping identify new opportunities to grow Winning Moves’ portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively manage and cultivate new and existing EMEA, USA and APAC licensing partnerships and renewals across 20+ license accounts for Top Trumps, Monopoly, Cluedo, Risk, and more.
  • Identify new licensing opportunities based on internal and external feedback and industry trends. Pitch for new business and negotiate terms, demonstrating good commercial judgement.
  • Work closely with the company’s legal team to negotiate and execute Licensing contracts.
  • Regularly liaise with internal teams, in the UK and overseas, to understand their requirements for licensing and to update them on your licensing accounts.
  • Collaborate and develop strong relationships with UK and overseas teams providing information and regular strategy and franchise updates as well as understanding and satisfying local market needs and differences.
  • Attend industry events, such as Brand Licensing Show and licensor presentations.
  • Manage and coordinate internal systems with the highest detail.

Candidate Experience and Skill Set

  • 5+ years in the brand licensing industry.
  • Excellent commercial and strategic approaches to problem solving and innovation.
  • Proven sales and negotiation experience.
  • Experience in reading and understanding licensing contracts.
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to juggle several different projects.
  • Hard-working, driven and passionate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Resilient and able to prioritise in an ever-changing landscape.
  • Flexible, with the ability to adjust to changing business needs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of local markets across the globe.
