Licensing Support Officer Vacancy - Castle Point Borough Council

£30,023 up to £31,525 per annum
Location: Castle Point

We are looking for a full-time Licensing Support Officer on an 18 month fixed term contract to work at Castle Point Council Offices, Kiln Road, Benfleet within the Licensing Team. The successful applicant will support the Licensing Officers with processing Taxi and Private Hire licensing applications and conduct non-contentious appointments.

Key Skills and abilities:
- Good communication skills (written and oral skills)
- Good project management and organisational skills
- Good analytical skills
- Good time management skills to comply with strict timescales
- A good knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel etc)
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience within a Customer facing role; or formal qualification in Business Studies or other Customer focused related qualification.
- An understanding of Taxi and Private Hire licensing would be beneficial.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience within a Customer facing role; or formal qualification in Business Studies or other Customer focused related qualification.
- All Licensing training will be provided.
