Life Enrichment & Well-being Coordinator – Permanent
£14.22 per hour - 40 hrs per week

KYN is a brand-new care home company focused on offering an elevated approach to care: Individualised journeys built around the needs and interests of our residents in beautiful surroundings with life-enriching practices.
KYN HURLINGHAM is our second home which opened in 2024. It’s a 32-bedroom home offering each resident an elegant and comfortable bedroom, communal areas for dining and reclining. We have a further two care homes in development in London.

About The Opportunity
As a Life Enrichment & Well-being Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- To support Life Enrichment & Well-being Lead with researching and sourcing a broad and diverse range of activities to ensure that every KYN resident’s individual needs are met.
- To support the Life Enrichment & Well-being Lead in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere consistently delivering an exceptional experience for our residents and their families.
- To ensure that every day provides a range of activities that stimulate all senses and will enhance the lives of our residents.
- To build relationships with our residents and fully understand their needs, favourite pastimes, and interests.
- To support Life Enrichment & Well-being Lead with broadening KYN’s network and building relationships with a wide variety of groups, societies, and companies in the local community, ensuring that our social and activities calendar is varied, interesting and fulfilling.
- To build personal and professional relationships with every member of the team
- Liaise with the Home Manager to ensure that where required, risk assessments are carried out.
- To plan and deliver a calendar of social entertainment and cultural activities and events that will enrich the lives of our residents.
- Ensure that all data and information in relation to resident’s personal information is secure and confidential.
- Provide residents living with dementia opportunities to engage in meaningful activities of daily living that meets their changing needs, as their condition progresses.
- To support residents and team members in the gathering of life history using KYN My Life, past, present and future.
- Ensure Residents that do not join group engagement activities have the opportunity to have one to one engagements.
- Support and educate team members on how to meaningfully engage with Residents and how to record it accurately.
- Support with interviews and recruitment process for new team members.
- Support with the integration and mentorship of students doing their placements at KYN.
- Actively support research activity at KYN.
- To ensure timely and accurate records are maintained for all life enriching activity.
- Comply with all KYN policies, standards, and toolkits.

About You
You will have imagination and structure, as well as strong planning and organisation skills.
- You will be a professional, who has good understanding of creating, designing, curating, organising events that stimulate and engage.
- You will be an effective team player who builds professional and trusting relationships with every member of the team, ensuring they feel valued.
- You will be patient with the ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
- You will have excellent attention to detail and an ability to anticipate problems before they arise.
- You will have a particular skill or interest which you can share with residents, such as art, sport, music etc.
- You will be a compassionate, empathetic, kind, and caring individual.
