Life Sciences Change & Transformation - Manager / Senior Manager
About BIP
BIP is an international consultancy specialising in business transformation, technology and innovation. We work with leading organisations to solve complex challenges and deliver meaningful, sustainable change.
Our Life Sciences team combines deep sector knowledge with expertise across transformation, change, programme delivery, technology, data and AI to help clients improve how they operate, innovate and deliver value.
We are looking for an experienced Life Sciences Change & Transformation - Manager / Senior Manager to join BIP and support the delivery of complex transformation programmes across the Life Sciences sector.
The role
As a Manager / Senior Manager in our Life Sciences Change & Transformation team, you will lead the people and organisational dimensions of complex client transformation programmes.
You will help clients translate technology, data, AI, process and operating model change into sustainable outcomes by creating clear change strategies and driving readiness, engagement and adoption.
This is a senior, client-facing consulting role for a hands-on change leader who can independently own complex workstreams, work credibly with senior stakeholders and contribute to the growth of client accounts and BIP's capabilities.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead end-to-end change workstreams within complex Life Sciences transformation programmes, taking accountability for scope, approach, plans, quality and outcomes.
- Develop pragmatic change strategies and roadmaps that align business objectives, programme delivery and the needs of impacted people.
- Bring structure to ambiguous environments, identifying priorities, dependencies and the interventions required to maintain momentum.
- Adapt established change methods and tools to the client context, applying judgement rather than relying on a purely process-led approach.
- Lead change impact and stakeholder assessments across people, process, technology and data dimensions.
- Define readiness and adoption measures, establish baselines and use insight to target interventions and evidence progress.
- Design integrated plans covering stakeholder engagement, leadership alignment, communications, capability building, training and business readiness.
- Identify adoption risks and resistance early, working with client leaders and delivery teams to resolve barriers and embed new ways of working.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and act as a credible adviser on change, transformation and adoption.
- Plan and facilitate senior leadership sessions, workshops and decision forums that create alignment and accelerate action.
- Communicate complex issues clearly, constructively challenging where required and tailoring messages for different audiences.
- Manage expectations, risks and dependencies across client teams, programme leadership and third-party delivery partners.
- Lead the change approach for technology, data and AI-enabled transformation, connecting solution delivery with process, role, capability and behavioural change.
- Work closely with product, technology, data, process and programme teams to ensure the solution is usable, adopted and embedded in day-to-day operations.
- Support responsible adoption of AI-enabled tools by addressing trust, governance, skills, ways of working and leadership requirements.
- Plan and manage high-quality consulting deliverables, balancing pace, rigour and commercial constraints.
- Lead, coach and quality-assure the work of consultants, creating clear direction and supporting their development.
- Contribute to BIP's Life Sciences and Change & Transformation capabilities through reusable methods, insight, case studies and communities of practice.
- Identify opportunities to extend BIP's impact with existing clients and support the development of trusted, long-term relationships.
- Contribute to bids, proposals, pitches and account planning, shaping compelling change and transformation propositions.
- Bring external insight and Life Sciences market awareness to support proposition development and thought leadership.
- At Senior Manager level, take a stronger role in opportunity shaping, senior client relationships, account growth and the leadership of larger or multiple workstreams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
