Role Purpose
To own and continuously improve the member lifecycle across Nurole Board Development, ensuring members are effectively onboarded, activated, engaged and retained by understanding what drives member value and translating this into effective journeys, communications and interventions.
Measures of Success
- Member activation and engagement across key cohorts
- Paid member retention and renewal
- Progression through key stages of the member lifecycle
- Reactivation of inactive or disengaged members
- Effectiveness of lifecycle journeys, campaigns and interventions
Responsibilities
- Member lifecycle strategy & journey design - Own and evolve the end-to-end member lifecycle across onboarding, activation, ongoing engagement, renewal, reactivation and win-back. Define what members need at different stages and ensure there are clear journeys and interventions designed to drive value and progression.
- Member value & retention - Build a strong understanding of what drives value, engagement and retention for different types of members. Identify where members are disengaging or failing to experience value and develop strategies and interventions to improve retention and renewal.
- Lifecycle campaigns & personalisation - Oversee multi-channel lifecycle communications, segmentation, automation and triggered campaigns, ensuring members receive relevant communications and interventions based on their needs, behaviours and stage in the lifecycle.
- Member behaviour, testing & optimisation - Analyse member behaviour and performance across cohorts, using data, feedback and structured testing to understand what drives activation, engagement, progression and churn, and continuously improve lifecycle performance.
- Cross-functional member journey - Work closely with Board Experiences, Product, Corporate Accounts and the wider Growth team to understand how different parts of the Board Development offering contribute to member value and ensure they come together into a coherent member journey. Use member insight to identify opportunities and inform priorities across teams.
- Lifecycle delivery & capability - Lead the delivery of lifecycle activity, managing the Membership Coordinator and ensuring journeys, campaigns, member support and associated CRM activity are executed effectively and consistently.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Cross-functional and collaborative - You work effectively across teams, bringing together different perspectives and influencing priorities to improve the overall member lifecycle.
