Job Description

Location: White Cross

We are looking for a qualified, enthusiastic, and safety-focused Lifeguard to join our team at Piran Meadows.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing a safe and enjoyable environment for guests while delivering excellent customer service. As a Lifeguard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of all guests using our swimming pool and leisure facilities, maintaining high standards of supervision, and responding confidently in emergency situations.

Alongside your lifeguarding responsibilities, you will help maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-presented leisure environment, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays.

  • Supervise the swimming pool and leisure area, ensuring the safety of all guests at all times.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, administering first aid where required.
  • Enforce pool rules and promote safe behaviour throughout the facility.
  • Carry out routine pool plant and water quality checks, recording results accurately.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the poolside, changing facilities, and surrounding areas.
  • Assist with the opening and closing of the leisure facilities in line with company procedures.
  • Provide a friendly, professional, and welcoming service to all guests.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the leisure facilities.
  • Follow all health and safety, safeguarding, and company policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • A valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent (essential).
  • A strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • The ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.
  • A responsible, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays.
  • Previous experience in a leisure, hospitality, or holiday park environment is desirable but not essential.
