Sports & Leisure Pool Team Leader - PERMANENT
Location: Tattershall Lakes - Lincolnshire
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, weekends required
Salary: £27,393.60

Away Resorts are shaking up the industry and setting the new standards for what to expect from a UK Holiday Park. With 27 parks and resorts around the UK now, our Flagship Resort Tattershall Lakes, is jaw dropping not only in its size but also what it offers our Guests.
We’re looking for a Team Leader who is a qualified lifeguard with pool plant experience. We are searching for individuals to demonstrate just the right mix of welcoming our guests in a positive, friendly manner and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety procedures necessary in the pool environment.
We have a glistening indoor swimming pool accompanied with a sauna and steam room. An indoor children’s splash area complete with a range of exciting water features, jets and a slide. Our refreshing outdoor swimming pools are the place to be on a warm summer’s day, situated next to our largest lake, furnished with sun loungers and equipped with a cascading splash pad. We run a variety of pool related activities both in and outdoors, to offer our guests a range of opportunities to enjoy and explore our magnificent facilities.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Pool Team Leader, you'll play a key role in delivering a safe, fun and memorable experience for our guests across our indoor and outdoor swimming pools and splash play areas. Leading by example, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of our facilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, cleanliness and customer service are maintained at all times.
You'll inspire, coach and support our lifeguard team, working closely with fellow Team Leaders and the wider Sports & Leisure management team to create a positive, high-performing environment. From leading training sessions and maintaining water quality to ensuring facilities are guest-ready every day, you'll be at the heart of our operation.
Key Responsibilities
Working alongside the Sports & Leisure Manager, Swimming Pool Manager, Leisure Administration Manager and the wider leadership team, you'll:
- Lead, support and motivate the lifeguard team during each shift, creating a positive and professional working environment.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining outstanding levels of customer service.
- Help promote our Sports & Leisure facilities, identifying opportunities to increase participation and drive sales.
- Ensure our swimming pools and splash areas operate safely, efficiently and in line with all company procedures and health & safety legislation.
- Carry out regular health and safety inspections, water quality testing and plant operation checks.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout all pool environments, ensuring facilities are always safe, clean and welcoming.
- Take responsibility for facility security, stock replenishment and the day-to-day presentation of the areas.
- Respond confidently to emergencies, ensuring Normal Operating Procedures (NOP) and Emergency Action Plans (EAP) are followed at all times.
- Monitor the safety and wellbeing of both guests and team members.
- Deliver lifeguard training sessions and support the delivery of NPLQ courses.
- Support the wider Sports & Leisure team with additional operational duties when required.

About You
We're looking for someone who leads with confidence, communicates well and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll be passionate about health and safety, enjoy developing others and take pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Flexibility is essential, as you'll be expected to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, bank holidays and peak holiday periods—because that's when our guests need us most!

Skills, Experience And Qualities You’ll Need
We’ll provide training, but you must:
- Hold a current valid NPLQ
- Hold a National Pool Trainer Assessor Qualification
- Have experience of working in a pool plant
- Work well under pressure
- Have experience leading a team
Desirable
- Pool Plant Operator (PPO)
- National Pool Supervisor Qualification (NPSQ)
- National Pool Management Qualification (NPMQ)
