Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club

The Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club is set in peaceful Warwickshire countryside and is well placed for access to Birmingham, Coventry, and other major centres. Birmingham Airport, the National Exhibition Centre and motorway links to the M6 and M42 are all within a few miles of the hotel.

We are looking for a friendly, proactive, and service-driven Leisure Attendant to support the day-to-day operations of our hotels leisure and wellness facilities. In this role, you will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and smooth running of the leisure areas while providing excellent service to guests and members.

Your Role

We are committed to providing a high-quality leisure experience for our guests. As a Leisure Attendant, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the leisure facilities, assisting guests, and supporting the wider leisure and spa team in delivering an exceptional wellness experience.

  • Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of all leisure facilities, including the pool, gym, changing rooms, and relaxation areas.
  • Monitoring guest use of the leisure facilities and assisting with any inquiries or concerns.
  • Supporting the leisure team with the setup and maintenance of equipment in the gym and wellness areas.
  • Ensuring towels, robes, and other amenities are readily available for guests and members.
  • Assisting with the safety and upkeep of the swimming pool area, including monitoring water quality and guest activity.
  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the leisure spaces.
  • Supporting spa and wellness promotions by informing guests of available services and offers.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including pool safety guidelines where applicable.

The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details, and trusting.

The Core Skills And Experience Required To Succeed

  • Previous experience in a leisure, fitness, or customer service role is preferred but not essential.
  • A friendly and professional approach with strong customer service skills.
  • A good understanding of health and safety regulations within a leisure or spa environment.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and take initiative when required.
  • A proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and ensuring high facility standards.
  • A flexible approach to work, with availability for shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • A valid Pool Responder or Lifeguard qualification is desirable but not essential.

You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
