Using the unique PlanHappy Lifestyle Financial Planning approach, Joslin Rhodes helps individuals understand what is possible, design a tailored plan, and receive ongoing support. The firm provides a full range of services under one roof, including pensions and retirement planning, estate planning, wills, and power of attorney, delivered by a team that genuinely cares about client outcomes.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Lifestyle Financial Planner role based in Stockton-On-Tees. The Lifestyle Financial Planner will meet with clients to understand their goals, values, and desired lifestyle, and translate these into clear, practical financial plans. Daily responsibilities include reviewing pensions and investments, preparing retirement and estate planning recommendations, and explaining complex financial information in a straightforward and reassuring way. The role involves conducting thorough fact-finding, using planning tools and models, documenting advice in line with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with colleagues across advice, administration, and compliance. The Lifestyle Financial Planner will provide ongoing reviews, maintain strong client relationships, and contribute to workshops that support the PlanHappy approach.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a desire to build a career in Financial Services, but doesn't have qualifications or experience. We will provide full training to deliver PlanHappy Lifestyle Financial Planning and support you to achieve the required qualifications. Once you have completed your first exam you can meet with clients and gain the ability to earn up to £70K OTE.

Person Profile

  • You will be persuasive and target driven with an ability to read people.
  • You will be self motivated with grit and determination to succeed.
  • You don't need sales or financial services experience but you do need to have transferable skills, be a great communicator and be likeable with the ability to tell it like it is when needed.

Requirements

  • Strong client-facing skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to build long-term, trust-based relationships.
  • Ability to explain financial concepts clearly and confidently, both in one-to-one meetings and in group or workshop settings.
  • Knowledge of estate planning elements such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, or willingness to acquire this knowledge.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage documentation, regulatory requirements, and multiple client plans.
  • Comfort using software, CRM systems, and standard office applications to prepare reports and track client progress.
  • Commitment to obtain Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, continued learning, and alignment with the PlanHappy Lifestyle Financial Planning philosophy.
