Lifing Service Delivery Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lifing Service Delivery Officer to join our Lifing Service Delivery team.

The Lifing Service Delivery team are responsible for supporting delivery of the DAC lifing service to a rapidly increasing number of airlines that operate our latest Trent engines. The DAC lifing service is an essential part of the Rolls-Royce service strategy, delivering huge cost savings and reducing environmental impact across the life of each engine. The Lifing Service Delivery Officer is responsible for the ongoing service delivery to internal and external Rolls-Royce customers, and driving system and process improvements to enable efficient service delivery. The successful candidate will become a subject matter expert in the systems used to deliver the service and act to maintain and develop these systems on a daily basis.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop knowledge of DAC Lifing System, including functionality, GUI, database structure, system architecture and associated processes and gain credibility as the subject matter individual for Lifing service delivery activities
  • Deliver the lifing services through system administration, data processing and configuration.
  • Resolve complex issues to ensure data quality and accurate information is available for external customers
  • Carry out system change testing and provide results to stakeholders to enable iterative development of lifing system algorithms, including managing and mitigating risk throughout the process.
  • Implement and manage complex lifing system configuration updates, ensuring adherence to schedule, addressing arising issues and maintaining system integrity at all times.
  • Communicate to internal and external stakeholders about lifing system changes before and after changes take place, informing stakeholders of Lifing System changes and impacts, and providing support which meets customer expectations.
  • Drive improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements and introducing increased levels of process automation.

Position Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Rolls-Royce civil large engines and parts
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Digital/IT disciplines or comparable skills and work experience
  • Proficient in the use of SQL queries/ scripts and database querying and configuring
  • Strong understanding of Systems engineering approach
  • Strong time management and project management skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • Understanding of the Rolls-Royce Parts Lifecycle and service management
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to identify minor discrepancies and anomalies
  • Proven ability to recognise and implement process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills
