Role Description

This full-time, on-site Lift Division Sales role is based in Romford and focuses on driving sales and service excellence for lift-related electrical products. The person in this role will build and maintain relationships with lift companies, contractors, and other customers, providing product advice, quotations, and technical support as needed. Daily activities include responding to customer inquiries, preparing and following up on quotes, processing orders, coordinating with branch, warehouse, and distribution teams, and maintaining accurate records in sales systems. The role also involves identifying new business opportunities, supporting pricing and margin objectives, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. This position requires a proactive approach, regular customer contact (in person, by phone, and email), and a focus on meeting sales targets while upholding BEW’s service standards.

  • Sales and customer relationship skills, including experience in B2B environments and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of electrical products or building services, ideally with exposure to lift industry components, control systems, or related technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with confidence in phone, email, and face-to-face interactions with a wide range of customers.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, including accuracy in order processing, quotation preparation, and record-keeping.
  • Competence with basic IT tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM or ERP systems) and willingness to learn company-specific platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with branch and distribution teams while remaining self-motivated and able to manage individual workload.
  • Previous experience in electrical wholesaling, industrial sales, or the lift sector is advantageous but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to visit customers or other branches when required.
  • Relevant vocational training or qualifications in electrical installation, engineering, or business/sales are beneficial.
