Role Description
This is a full-time Lift Engineer role based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with a hybrid working arrangement allowing some work from home where appropriate. The Lift Engineer will carry out routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of a range of lifting equipment and lift systems across multiple sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Performing inspections in line with LOLER and company standards
- Completing accurate service reports
- Ensuring all work is compliant with relevant health and safety regulations
- Supporting lift installations and refurbishments
- Coordinating with colleagues and supervisors to plan work
- Communicating clearly with customers on findings, timelines, and recommendations

The Lift Engineer is expected to deliver reliable, high-quality service, uphold safety and performance standards, and contribute to continuous improvement across the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in lifting equipment and lift systems, including experience with maintenance, repair, and inspection of a range of manufacturers
- Proven maintenance & repair skills, including fault-finding, troubleshooting, and completing scheduled and reactive work efficiently and safely
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly, manage customer expectations, and build professional relationships
- Solid health & safety knowledge, including familiarity with LOLER regulations, risk assessments, and safe working practices on-site and at height
- Ideally, a relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship in lift engineering, mechanical, or electrical disciplines, along with a valid UK driving license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong problem-solving skills, good time management, and willingness to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota if required
