Role Description
The Lift Engineer role is a full-time hybrid position based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with some work from home as appropriate for planning, reporting, and administrative tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting, maintaining, and repairing lifting equipment and lift systems, diagnosing faults, and carrying out corrective actions to ensure safe and reliable operation. The role involves performing routine servicing, supporting refurbishments and installations, and completing statutory inspections in line with LOLER and other relevant regulations.

The Lift Engineer will:

The role also requires adherence to company safety procedures, participation in on-call or emergency response work as needed, and collaboration with the wider engineering team to meet service delivery targets.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills and experience with lifting equipment and lift systems, including familiarity with multiple manufacturers and models.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair activities, fault-finding, and routine servicing of lifts and associated components.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and management, including clear reporting and documentation.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, including LOLER and relevant UK standards, with a safety-first approach to all tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to manage expectations, provide clear explanations, and maintain professional relationships.
- Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent) or substantial proven experience in lift engineering.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and adapt to varied work environments and schedules.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the London Area and occasionally across the UK as required.
