Job Description
Location
Greater London (including Gatwick & Stansted rail stations)
Schedule
- On-site hours: 8:00–20:00 (qualified as 12-hour shifts with a 45-minute unpaid break)
- Respite duty: 4 on, 4 off
Salary & Benefits
- Base pay: Up to £55,000 (depending on skills and experience)

Role Overview
Stannah is seeking a Lift Service Engineer to cover a structured route across Greater London and surrounding areas, servicing lifts, repairing faults, and ensuring ongoing safety compliance.

You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining your own patch—a dedicated non-random travel area of Greater London.
- Working across both commercial and public-sector buildings.
- Providing time-critical breakdown support within your territory.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires you to handle the following core tasks efficiently and safely:
- Scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs of lifts and related systems.
- Rapid response to callouts and breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting to restore function swiftly.
- Ensuring workplace safety and regulatory compliance (e.g., PMRS, lift regulations).
- Accuracy in completing reports and site paperwork.
- Collaborating with local support teams when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certification: NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Previous service: Experience as a lift or service engineer (repairs, diagnostics, maintenance).
- Driving: Full and valid UK driving licence; a company van will be provided.
