The Role
Working as part of our training team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, informative, and practical training courses covering lifting equipment, lifting operations, and industry best practices. You will work closely with customers across a range of industries, helping them develop competence, improve safety standards, and maintain compliance with relevant legislation and industry requirements.

The role will involve both classroom-based and practical training delivery, as well as supporting the development and continuous improvement of training materials and programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Deliver training courses covering lifting equipment and lifting operations.
- Provide both theoretical and practical instruction to delegates of varying experience levels.
- Ensure all training is delivered in a professional, engaging, and effective manner.
- Assess delegate competency and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain training records and associated documentation.
- Train, competency assess, and develop internal staff.
Technical Support
- Share industry knowledge and best practice with delegates.
- Support the ongoing review and development of training materials.
- Assist in ensuring training content remains aligned with current legislation, standards, and industry guidance.
- Promote safe working practices and a strong safety culture.
Customer Engagement
- Build positive relationships with customers and delegates.
- Represent Certex UK professionally at customer sites and training locations.
- Understand customer requirements and contribute to delivering an excellent training experience.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Significant experience within the lifting industry.
- Strong knowledge of lifting equipment and lifting operations.
- Good understanding of LOLER and lifting industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Confident delivering training to groups with varying levels of experience.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to engage delegates and adapt training styles to different audiences.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
- Experience carrying out lifting equipment inspections and thorough examinations.
- Experience producing LOLER reports and certification.
- Excellent IT skills
- Live within a daily commutable distance from Great Yarmouth

Desirable
- Experience delivering training, coaching, mentoring, or technical instruction.
- LEEA qualifications or other relevant lifting industry qualifications.
- Training or assessor qualifications.
- Knowledge of height safety equipment and associated regulations.
- Forklift licence.
