The Role and Responsibilities
An exciting permanent opportunity has opened up for a Lifting Manager to join EnerMech on the UK's Low Carbon Nuclear project based in Bridgwater, Somerset. The purpose of the role is to ensure the site and associated developments maintain compliance with its arrangements and promote best practice, and to establish and implement a world-class approach to lifting on the construction site.

Other main responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Lead and coordinate the lifting department activities and resources to ensure full compliance with agreed lifting and PC Standards and expectations.
- Establishing and maintaining Lifting standards and Policies for aligned with the associated levels of risk for Health, Safety, Lifting and Temporary works and monitor their delivery on site.
- Ensure the Department activities, including that undertaken by Delivery Partners and Supply Chain, are performed with full regard to NSL arrangements, Statutory Regulations, Company and location directives, procedures and lifting Rules. Ensure that operation experience feedback is promoted and used.
- Management of the lifting team activities providing a professional customer/client-based quality service in all aspects of Lifting and PC Standards and regulatory interfaces.
- Ensure the Project develops a strong Project culture that is consistent with recognized nuclear safety culture.

The Requirements
Requirements for this role include a CPCS Appointed Persons Blue card (competent operator), and ECITB Appointed Person Moving Loads TAP01. You will have the ability to establish a vision and develop/implement strategy to attain it. You will have knowledge of national and international HSE standards including CDM regulations, LOLER and BS5975. You will also have experience of managing multi-disciplined teams and construction industry knowledge.
A proven track record in nuclear power is preferred. Good knowledge of large projects and site operations is also preferred.
