The Opportunity
We are working with a leading lighting manufacturer to appoint a Lighting Business Development Specialist focused on the rapidly growing warehouse, logistics and distribution sector across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven lighting professional to develop new business across a market that includes large-scale logistics hubs, distribution centres, fulfilment centres and industrial warehouses, including the growing number of "mega-sheds" and urban logistics developments.
The role will focus on identifying and developing relationships with developers, occupiers, contractors, lighting consultants, designers, facilities teams and asset managers, helping customers deliver high-quality, energy-efficient lighting solutions that improve operational efficiency, employee wellbeing and sustainability.

The warehouse and logistics sector continues to see significant investment, with demand for high-quality distribution and industrial space remaining strong.
From large 100,000-500,000+ sq. ft. distribution centres to manufacturing and assembly facilities operating in challenging environments, effective lighting plays a critical role in:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with major organisations and occupiers across the logistics, distribution, manufacturing and industrial sectors.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and building long-term customer relationships across the UK.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the warehouse, logistics and industrial sectors
- Developing relationships with developers, occupiers, contractors, lighting designers, consultants and asset managers
- Arranging and conducting customer meetings and site visits
- Presenting lighting products, solutions and services to customers
- Managing enquiries, quotations and tenders
- Supporting customers with appropriate lighting solutions for their specific environments
- Representing the business at industry events and trade shows
What We're Looking For
We are interested in speaking with candidates who have a proven commercial background within lighting or electrical wholesale sales, ideally with experience of exterior, industrial or commercial lighting.
You should ideally have:
- Experience within the lighting, electrical or associated building products sector
- A strong track record in new business development
- Experience working with lighting designers, consultants and contractors
- Exposure to developers, facilities teams, asset managers or local authorities would be advantageous
- An understanding of warehouse, logistics, industrial or commercial environments
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to create opportunities from scratch
- A strong work ethic and genuine desire to succeed
