Contract: Full-Time | Permanent

About Us:

Omega Red Group is the recognised UK market leader in earthing, lightning protection, and height safety protection.

Omega Red offers survey, design, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair solutions for earthing, lightning protection, surge protection and height safety. The business is passionate about protecting people, property, electrical equipment and systems, from the damaging effects of lightning strikes, electrical faults and surges.

The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and commercially aware Lightning Protection Estimator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience within lightning protection, earthing, construction, or electrical infrastructure sectors who is looking to join the UK's market leader in lightning protection and height safety solutions.

As a Lightning Protection Estimator, you will play a key role in securing new business opportunities by preparing accurate and competitive tenders for lightning protection, earthing, surge protection, and associated specialist projects. Working closely with clients, surveyors, designers, and operational teams, you will assess project requirements, develop cost-effective solutions, and support the successful delivery of projects from tender stage through to handover.

The successful candidate will be confident in interpreting client specifications, attending site surveys and tender meetings, and identifying commercial opportunities while maintaining Omega Red's high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly sales and tender targets through the preparation of competitive quotations and successful tender submissions
  • Attend client meetings, tender presentations, and construction site visits to understand project requirements and confidently promote Omega Red's lightning protection and earthing solutions
  • Produce accurate designs, estimates, and quotations that meet client specifications, project requirements, and industry standards
  • Ensure all tenders and quotations remain commercially competitive whilst maintaining profitability and quality standards
  • Develop, maintain, and nurture strong client relationships to secure repeat business and identify new opportunities
  • Work closely with the Estimating Lead and Delivery Teams to support business objectives and ensure smooth project handovers
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to support effective pricing and business growth strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of quotations, tenders, client interactions, and sales activity using company systems and CRM platforms
  • Support the continued growth of the business through proactive customer engagement and opportunity identification

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
