Job Summary

The Security TAM for Lightwell serves as a trusted advisor and Subject Matter Expert on Lightwell, while collaborating with engineering and product teams to resolve technical issues. The Lightwell Security Technical Account Manager is the interface between our Lightwell customers and our engineering teams. They are key in accelerating software development lifecycles and OS patching with Red Hat Consulting, mentoring customer teams on security best practices, contributing to knowledge bases, and building solution patterns.

What Will You Do

  • Liaise with Red Hat Product Security, partners, and customer security and operations teams on security paradigms.
  • Facilitate customer use of the Lightwell clearinghouse for triage, patching, and backporting.
  • Provide best practices for consumption of Lightwell remediated libraries as part of our customer’s software development lifecycle alongside Red Hat Consulting.
  • Develop customer engagement plans, maintain environment documentation, and respond to support requests.
  • Partner with engineering, product management, and support teams to debug and resolve technical issues.
  • Mentor customer teams on security best practices and contribute to the Red Hat knowledge base.
  • Develop solution patterns to guide platform adoption and ensure long-term enterprise success.

What You Will Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in a software development, security role, customer support, engineering, or QA.
  • Demonstrated track record in a strategic advisory role to senior IT and business executives.
  • Applied knowledge of agile, scrum, and DevOps team methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of software supply chains, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Advanced expertise in containerized application deployment (OpenShift, Kubernetes) and non-containerized deployment (Ansible/AAP).
  • Familiarity with image building (Docker, Podman) and version control methodologies (git).
  • Experience with artifact repository tools (Red Hat Quay, JFrog Artifactory, Sonatype Nexus, uDeploy).
  • Hands-on knowledge of workflow tools (Jenkins, GitLab Pipelines, GitHub Workflows, OpenShift GitOps, Red Hat Pipelines).
  • Advanced knowledge of unit testing basics (JUnit, pytest) and governance automation checks.
  • Understanding of library versioning (semver) and the broader Java ecosystem.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information concisely.
  • Associate's, Bachelor's degree, or higher in computer science or a technical discipline.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and to customer locations as required.
  • Executive presence and communication skills in English.

  • Previous experience as a developer, consultant, or solutions architect.
  • Red Hat Certified: RHCE (RHCA preferred)
  • Relevant security certification (CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, CC, CEH).
