About the Role
Castle Hill Inn is a coastal retreat nestled on 40 secluded acres by Narragansett Bay, part of the Relais & Chateaux association. As a Line Cook at this historic inn (part of the Newport Restaurant Group), you’ll help prepare meals under fast-paced conditions for two premier restaurants, staff, and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, casseroles, meats, vegetables, and other dishes following recipes and procedures
- Wash, peel, cut, shred, and prepare vegetables and fruits
- Ready meats (including fish), vegetables, or other food products for service according to recipes and cooking techniques
- Maintain urgency, organization, and cleanliness in a high-volume kitchen
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless, high-quality service

Compensation & Benefits
Remuneration
- $22–$25/hour range

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Wanted
- High-volume and hotel/restaurant environments preferred (but not mandatory)
- Exposure to seasonal dining or multi-course menues an asset
- Open to bells-and-whistles (work days, nights, weekends, holidays as needed)
Essential Skills
- Physical fitness: Must stand for long durations; ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Team mindset: Cultivate a collaborative, respectful workspace
