Gifting Line Leader - Alconbury

Great opportunity to work as a Gifting Line Leader at our client's Alconbury site, helping to deliver high-quality gift hampers and gifting products for major UK retailers.

About the Role

Staffline is recruiting for a Gifting Line Leader in Alconbury, Huntingdon.

In this role, you will lead a team of operatives, ensuring gifting products are assembled, packed, and presented to the highest quality standards while meeting daily production targets.

Local candidates from Alconbury, Huntingdon and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.

Transport is available for workers travelling from Peterborough.

Pay

  • Day shift is paid at £14.50 per hour
  • Overtime is paid at £18.13 per hour

This is a full-time, day-shift position.

Typical shifts will fall on either Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday.

Working hours: 06:30-19:00 4on 3off 3on 4off

Please note you must be flexible and willing to work on night shift during Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day peaks.

Responsibilities

As a Gifting Line Leader you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and supporting a team of production operatives, ensuring daily production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee the assembly and packaging of gift hampers, making sure all products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and presentation requirements.
  • Carry out quality checks throughout the production process and resolve any issues that may impact productivity or customer orders.
  • Allocate tasks, provide training and coaching, and promote high standards of teamwork, safety, and performance.
  • Monitor stock availability, minimise waste, and report shortages or production concerns to management.

Requirements

  • Leadership Skills - Experience supervising or leading a team, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues to meet targets.
  • Strong Organisation & Time Management - Able to prioritise tasks, manage workloads, and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Attention to Detail - Ensures products are assembled accurately and consistently meet quality standards.
  • Communication Skills - Confident in giving clear instructions, reporting issues, and working with different departments.
  • Team Player with a Positive Attitude - Dependable, proactive, and committed to achieving team goals while maintaining high standards.
  • Food Safety Awareness - Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements (training can be provided)
