Newstaff Employment Services Milton Keynes are currently recruiting experienced Line Operatives to join a well-established global manufacturing business based in Flitwick.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous production or manufacturing experience who is looking for a long-term role working a Tuesday to Friday night shift.

⭐ The Role

You will be working as part of a busy production team manufacturing plastic caps and closures for the packaging industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Erecting cardboard cartons and attaching labels
  • Carrying out quality checks on products
  • Making up boxes and preparing products for packing
  • Stacking pallets with completed boxes
  • Moving cartons and bulk bins to and from production machinery
  • Completing production paperwork accurately
  • Keeping the production area clean, tidy and organised
  • Following all company health, safety and quality procedures

👷 What We're Looking For

You will need:

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a similar Line Operative role
  • To be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • The ability to stand and work for a 12-hour shift
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Good basic numeracy skills
  • A reliable attitude and excellent attendance
  • The flexibility to complete the required training before moving onto nights

💷 Pay & Shifts

Night shift:

  • Tuesday to Friday
  • 8:00pm – 8:00am
  • £12.95 per hour + 22% night shift premium = £15.80 per hour

Training:

For approximately the first 3–4 weeks, you will work the 8:00am–8:00pm shift, Monday to Friday, while you complete your training.

Once fully trained, you will move onto the Tuesday to Friday, 8:00pm–8:00am night shift.
