£28,900 rising to £30,400 as role objectives are met + 20% shift allowance

Full Time – 37.5 (multishift contract)
Mon - Wed 16:30 - 02:30, Thurs 16:30 - 02:00
The Opportunity
As a Line Runner within Operations, you will play a key role in supporting the daily running of the production area. Acting as the link between operators and Team Leaders, you will ensure production flows efficiently, standards are maintained, and issues are escalated and resolved quickly.
This role is for individuals who demonstrate leadership potential and can effectively support both the operational needs of the shop floor and the wider objectives of the business. The successful candidate will be capable of performing operator duties while also providing cover and support for Team Leader responsibilities when required.
What You Will Do
As a Line Runner, you will be accountable for, but not limited to:
- Support the safe, efficient, and compliant running of the production area.
- Act as the first point of support for Operators, providing guidance and assistance throughout the shift.
- Escalate production issues, resource concerns, and operational risks to the Team Leader to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide Team Leader cover during absences, meetings, training, and other business requirements.
- Monitor performance against operational targets and support delivery of PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity, Cost) objectives.
- Champion continuous improvement, safety, quality, and operational excellence standards across the area.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Can Demonstrate:
- The ability to effectively support and guide others to achieve operational objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and take appropriate action.
- Effective communication skills, enabling clear information sharing across teams and shifts.
- The ability to work safely, maintain quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
Candidates May Also Be Able To Demonstrate:
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- The ability to coach, train, or support the development of others.
- Familiarity with operational excellence methodologies such as BIQ, AQE, 5S or TPM.
- The ability to coordinate activities and provide support across a team environment.
