Linux & Datacentre Administrator

Hybrid | Must be located in the Berkshire area for easy access to data centres

£65,000 per annum

WORK WEEK IS TUESDAY - SATURDAY

Is this the Linux & Datacentre Administrator role for you? Creideas are partnered with a fast-growing SaaS client who are looking to add a Linux & Datacentre Administrator to the team on a permanent basis. Internally, you’ll be known as an Infrastructure Engineer.

Whilst you are only contracted to visit the London office once per month, you are required to visit the data centres on a weekly basis, including Saturdays to work on maintenance. The working week for this role is Tuesday to Saturday, meaning you have Sunday and Monday off.

Core to this role is the ability to blend Linux (Ubuntu) sys admin expertise with containerised compute, networking, and data centre operations know-how. You’ll take full ownership of their internal data centre environment, which is currently spread across 3 separate sites.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
