We tackle the most complex problems in quantitative finance, by bringing scientific clarity to financial complexity.
From our London HQ, we unite world-class researchers and engineers in an environment that values deep exploration and methodical execution – because the best ideas take time to evolve. Together we're building a world-class platform to amplify our teams' most powerful ideas.
As part of our engineering team, you’ll shape the platforms and tools that drive high-impact research - designing systems that scale, accelerate discovery and support innovation across the firm.
The role
We're seeking a Linux Engineer to build, maintain and evolve the Linux platforms (RHEL and Ubuntu) that underpin our compute environment. You'll work across the full Linux stack, from OS builds and provisioning systems through to observability, security and custom tooling.
Mathematics and science are at our core; AI pushes them further to unlock bigger thinking and bigger impact. We expect every colleague to actively bring AI into their daily workflow to deliver impact we didn't think was possible. In this role, that means helping design and use agentic frameworks to move the platform towards autonomous, closed-loop operations.
Security is a core part of the role, from hardening and patching through to vulnerability response, and the role offers the chance to develop deep technical expertise in Linux internals, automation and performance optimisation while contributing directly to infrastructure that supports large-scale quantitative research.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
