HPC Support Engineer

Hybrid, Central London
£45,000 - £55,000

We're looking for a HPC Support Engineer to join a team supporting cutting-edge research, AI and advanced computing projects.

You'll help maintain and develop high-performance computing and GPU platforms, working closely with end users to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that enable data-intensive research and innovation.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting HPC clusters, GPU infrastructure, and research computing environments.
  • Working with users to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Automating infrastructure, deployments, and operational processes.
  • Improving platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Supporting storage, networking, monitoring, and cloud-based services.
  • Contributing to system upgrades, new technologies, and ongoing platform development.

What we're looking for

  • Experience supporting Linux-based infrastructure.
  • Exposure to HPC environments, GPU computing, or large-scale platforms.
  • Knowledge of automation, scripting, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with tools such as Slurm, PBS, containers, Grafana, AWS, or Azure would be beneficial.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a collaborative approach.
