Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Linux system administration, particularly with RedHat Enterprise Linux, is essential.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl is required for automation and configuration tasks.
• Familiarity with declarative configuration tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is highly desirable.
• Candidates must have excellent troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of networking concepts, and experience working within a global or multi-site environment.
• Certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) or similar are preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders is also critical.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable components on a global level to support our infrastructure needs.
• Collaborate with operational teams and customers to prioritize enhancements, extensions, and remediation activities, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
• Use declarative configuration management tools to automate deployment and updates, ensuring consistency across multiple environments.
• Monitor system performance and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal platform health.
• Participate in incident response and problem resolution, providing expert guidance and solutions.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually improve platform stability and security.
