Role Overview
The Global Treasury team oversees and manages liquidity resources of the companies within the Group, and the associated risks including contingent liquidity risk, FX and interest rate risks. This includes liquidity monitoring and forecasting, and deploying liquidity resources across the EMEA, US and APAC entities.
Acting as a hands-on liquidity practitioner, the successful candidate will support the effective management of Group liquidity by ensuring entities are appropriately funded to meet their operational and regulatory requirements. The role will oversee day-to-day cash management activities, oversee restricted cash requirements, maintain accurate and timely cash flow forecasts, and monitor foreign exchange exposures across the Group. Working closely with FP&A, Finance and Regulatory Capital teams, the analyst will help improve liquidity visibility, support efficient funding decisions and contribute to a consistent, well-controlled and proactive approach to global cash and liquidity management.
Role Responsibilities
- Monitor cash positions across the Group and ensure that entities are appropriately funded, taking account of operational, regulatory, restricted cash and capital requirements.
- Propose and execute approved treasury payments and financial transactions in accordance with the Group’s delegated authorities, policies and control framework.
- Support the efficient allocation and concentration of cash across the Group’s global bank accounts, while monitoring counterparty exposures and applicable risk limits.
- Develop and maintain accurate and timely cash flow forecasts for the Group, ensuring that forecast assumptions appropriately reflect restricted cash, regulatory capital and other funding requirements.
- Investigate cash flow forecast variances, identify their underlying causes and work with relevant stakeholders to improve forecasting accuracy and accountability.
- Support the management of banking relationships and associated treasury administration, including the maintenance of bank accounts, authorised signatory mandates and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with banking counterparties and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve payment, receipt and bank account queries in a timely manner.
- Produce investment and yield reporting for senior stakeholders and support the effective management of surplus cash within the Group’s approved investment and counterparty frameworks.
- Support the management of the Group’s foreign exchange framework, including the execution and monitoring of the hedging programme and the identification, consolidation and reporting of FX exposures across the Group.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Group’s liquidity risk framework, including liquidity stress testing, scenario analysis, risk monitoring and escalation.
- Support internal and external audit activities by responding to information requests and maintaining complete and accurate treasury records and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate treasury activities associated with dividend transactions, including stakeholder communication, funding arrangements, payment execution and record maintenance.
- Monitor relevant liquidity regulations applicable to financial services firms and support the assessment of how business initiatives, transactions and structural changes may affect the Group’s regulatory liquidity compliance.
- Undertake additional treasury analysis, operational activities and ad hoc responsibilities as required to meet the evolving needs of the Group.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
