The Lithographic Printer will operate and maintain lithographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed packaging in line with customer specifications and production schedules. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Setting up presses
  • Preparing plates, inks, and substrates
  • Monitoring print quality
  • Making adjustments to ensure consistent color, registration, and finish

The role involves working closely with the production team to meet deadlines, following safety and quality procedures, and completing basic maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment. This is a full-time, on-site role based at JEM Packaging Ltd’s facility in Dereham.

Qualifications

  • Experience in print production environments, including Print Production and Printing skills.
  • Ability to support and maintain printing equipment, including Printer Support and basic Inkjet knowledge.
  • Understanding of finishing processes such as Bindery and post-press operations.
  • Attention to detail and strong focus on print quality, color accuracy, and consistency.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, production schedules, and quality standards.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to work safely with machinery and materials.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a production team.
  • Previous experience as a lithographic printer or in a similar print manufacturing role; vocational or technical training in print technology is an advantage.
