We are currently recruiting for a Litigation Assistant to join our Debt Recoveries team in our Banbury office.
This exciting position at our growing and ambitious law firm in the heart of England will be working in the Debt Recovery team.

Key Responsibilities
Communication
- Answer incoming calls from clients, debtors, and agents in a professional manner.
- Dealing with inbound and outbound emails to clients, debtors and third parties.

Administrative & Financial Duties
- Process supplier invoices promptly and accurately.
- Prepare and issue client bills in accordance with firm procedures.
- Preparing client remittances in accordance with firm procedures.
Legal Research & Information Management
- Conduct searches using Companies House, Insolvency Register, Land Registry and E-Filing.
- Identify vulnerable debtors and manage files in line with compliance and ethical standards.
Document Preparation & Case Management
- Draft and issue pre-legal correspondence, including letters before action, settlement proposals, responses to disputes, pre-action protocol letters and particulars of claim.
Legal Support
- Assist in managing case strategies, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.
- Advise clients on jurisdictional considerations and enforcement prospects.
- Action steps to progress the matter and escalate to relevant person in the team/department when required.
- Progress matters in line with department handbook and bring to the attention of a Team Leader or Manager if there are any concerns.
- Support and coordination of legal recovery proceedings

Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures (desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
