Litigation Solicitor
Bromsgrove | £36,000 – £46,000 DOE | Full-Time | Office-Based
GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are currently supporting a well-established and highly regarded legal practice in Bromsgrove with the recruitment of a Litigation Solicitor to join their growing Litigation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Solicitor or Solicitor with up to 2 years' PQE who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and client-focused legal environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage their own caseload and work across a varied range of contentious matters, working closely with clients and providing clear, professional and commercially minded legal advice.
The Role
As a Litigation Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of contentious matters, with exposure to areas including:
- Civil Litigation
- Employment matters
- Dispute Resolution
- General contentious legal matters
- Advising and supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of their matters
- Managing your own caseload and ensuring matters progress efficiently and within required deadlines
- Prioritising workload effectively while maintaining a high standard of client service
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider team
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures, policies and regulatory requirements

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Solicitor who is newly qualified or has up to 2 years' PQE and can demonstrate experience within litigation or a contentious legal environment. You will ideally be:
- Newly Qualified through to approximately 2 years' PQE
- Experienced in civil litigation, employment and/or dispute resolution
- Confident managing your own caseload
- Highly client-focused with excellent interpersonal skills
- Professional, approachable and reassuring in your communication with clients
- Organised and capable of working to tight deadlines
- Able to prioritise effectively in a busy environment
- A strong written and verbal communicator
- A genuine team player who enjoys working collaboratively
- Comfortable working within established compliance procedures and internal systems
