Commercial Litigation Lawyer (Product Liability & Product Safety)
Contract: Interim Contract (12 Months)
Working Pattern: 4 Days per Week
Location: Fully Remote

About the Role

Our customer, a leading international consumer goods business, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join its in-house legal team on a 12-month interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with experience in commercial litigation and product liability/product safety matters to support a high-performing legal function on a flexible, fully remote basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise the business on a broad range of commercial litigation matters.
  • Support on product liability and product safety issues, including managing legal risk and advising on potential disputes.
  • Assist with the handling of litigation, investigations and pre-litigation matters, working closely with external counsel where required.
  • Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Review legal strategies, assess risk exposure and support dispute resolution activities.
  • Monitor legal developments relating to product liability and product safety and advise the business on potential impacts.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or another common law jurisdiction with relevant UK commercial litigation experience).
  • Ideally 3–4 years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Strong background in commercial litigation, gained in private practice or in-house.
  • Experience advising on product liability and/or product safety matters is essential.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced commercial environment.
