Litigation Lawyer - Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner
This is a genuinely distinctive opportunity for an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join a newly formed in-house legal team serving Northamptonshire's Police, Fire and Rescue Service, and the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

The Role
- You will manage a caseload of civil litigation matters including pre-issued and issued claims. While advocacy is not required, there is scope for disclosure challenges and case management hearings for those who want to develop in that direction.
- You will be well supported. Two experienced paralegals and a dedicated civil investigator handle the investigative groundwork on claims before they reach you, and workloads are managed sensibly, with overflow outsourced.

What’s on Offer
- Salary: £56,133 – £66,648
- Predominantly remote working
- Flexitime with TOIL accrued above 37 hours
- Local Government Pension Scheme
- 25 days’ annual leave, rising to 30 with service
About You
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEx Fellow
- Strong background in defendant litigation (EL/PL or similar)
- Comfortable managing complex, sensitive matters with sound judgement
