Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Around two years' experience working as a paralegal, legal assistant or similar within a personal injury firm.
  • A good working knowledge of the MOJ Claims Portal.
  • An understanding of how personal injury claims progress from initial instruction through the pre-action process and, ideally, into litigation.
  • Experience of dealing directly with clients and insurers.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage deadlines and progress work without constant supervision.
  • Good general IT skills and experience of using a legal case management system.

A law degree, CILEX qualification, paralegal qualification or other legal qualification would be welcome, but is not essential where you have suitable personal injury experience.

Experience of litigated personal injury claims would also be an advantage, but we would be happy to consider someone whose experience has mainly been in pre-litigation personal injury work and who is keen to develop their litigation skills.
