Litigation Solicitor – 3+ Years PQE
Location: Romford, Essex
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Job type: Full-time, office-based
Bonus: Individual profit-related bonus
An established law firm in Romford is seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Litigation Solicitor with at least three years’ post-qualification experience.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing litigation department and manage a varied caseload covering general civil and commercial disputes. You will work alongside experienced solicitors while helping supervise junior team members and contributing to the continued development of the department.
The role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters.
- Advising both commercial and individual clients.
- Handling inheritance disputes, landlord and tenant matters, building disputes, breach of contract claims, debt recovery, insolvency and negligence cases.
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and other legal documents.
- Preparing court documents for trials and hearings.
- Conducting advocacy where appropriate.
- Coordinating with clients, counsel and other relevant parties.
- Supervising and supporting paralegals working on landlord and tenant, eviction, building dispute and debt recovery matters.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and professional referrers.
- Participating in networking and business-development activities.
- Helping mentor junior colleagues and supporting the growth of the litigation team.

About you
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of three years’ PQE as a qualified solicitor.
- Broad general litigation experience, with a strong focus on civil and commercial litigation.
- Previous advocacy experience.
- Experience managing matters for commercial and individual clients.
- Strong legal drafting and case-management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel and Teams.
- LEAP case-management experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- The ability to commute to the Romford office daily.
- An interest in networking, business development and developing client relationships.
- The ambition to progress, mentor junior colleagues and help grow the department.
- A professional, approachable and client-focused manner.
