The Opportunity
An established and expanding Central London law firm is seeking a Litigation Solicitor to join its busy Civil Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with 2–3 years’ PQE who is looking to take ownership of a varied caseload, work closely with clients, and play an active role in the continued growth of the department.
The role would particularly suit a candidate with experience in Landlord & Tenant disputes and housing-related litigation, although broader civil litigation experience will also be considered.
The position is available on either a permanent employed basis or as a consultant solicitor operating under a fee-sharing arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
Civil Litigation Caseload
- Manage a mixed caseload of civil litigation matters from instruction through to conclusion.
- Advise on Landlord & Tenant disputes, including:

- Conduct negotiations and explore ADR and settlement opportunities where appropriate.
- Attend County Court hearings and liaise with Counsel when required.
- Ensure clients receive clear, practical, and commercially focused advice throughout the life of the matter.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
