Litigation Solicitor / Consultant
London | Hybrid | c. £60,000+ / Consultant Rates | 2+ PQE
A London-based legal practice is looking to appoint a Litigation Solicitor or Consultant with a strong background in property disputes, particularly landlord and tenant matters. This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage their own caseload while helping to establish and develop the firm's litigation offering, with a particular focus on property litigation.
A requirement of this role is to have some level of portable client following who can help to establish the Litigation Department at this firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of property litigation matters, including landlord and tenant disputes.
- Advising landlords, tenants and other property clients on a range of contentious property matters.
- Handling matters from initial instruction through to resolution, including negotiations and court proceedings.
- Developing client relationships and identifying opportunities to grow the litigation practice.
- Supporting the establishment and development of the wider litigation department.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified solicitor with 2+ PQE and a strong background in litigation.
- Significant experience in property litigation and landlord and tenant disputes.
- Comfortable running their own caseload and dealing directly with clients.
- Commercially minded, with an interest in developing new business and client relationships.
- Ideally able to bring existing clients or demonstrate clear opportunities to develop portable business.

This is an opportunity for a litigator to take ownership of their work and play a key role in building the litigation offering, particularly across property disputes. The role can be considered on either a salaried or consultant basis, with consultant rates available for candidates bringing a strong client following.
