We’re looking for a Solicitor to join us in Bradford.
As part of the continued growth of our Legal Operations Team at Liberty Blume, and during an exciting period of transformation, we are seeking a Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with Litigation Practice Rights to manage a portfolio of Defendant pre-litigation and litigated matters across a diverse range of workstreams.
You will be a confident and commercially aware decision-maker, capable of independently managing a fast-paced portfolio of matters, while escalating significant risks and complex issues appropriately.
You will have access to some of the latest technology to help you with your day-to-day activities, whilst being supported by a Director of Legal Operations and other Legal Operations colleagues to ensure you continue to grow and progress in your legal career. You will work as part of a collaborative team of solicitors and paralegals, delivering legal advice and support across a diverse range of Defendant matters, including Employers’ Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL), Road Traffic Accidents (RTA), Property Damage and Consumer Litigation.
You will also be expected to contribute to revenue generating activity both within our group companies and externally in-line with Liberty Blume’s business vision and objectives. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell existing or new services.
You will be expected to contribute to stakeholder interactions and performance reviews.
What will you be doing?
- Manage a varied caseload of pre-litigation and litigated defendant matters, including multi-track claims, taking ownership of legal strategy, risk assessment, compliance with court directions, settlement negotiations and progression through to conclusion.
- Work collaboratively with paralegals and Team Managers to identify the appropriate level of conduct and supervision for each matter, applying the principles established in Mazur where relevant.
- Provide constructive feedback to Team Managers and Senior Management to support continuous improvement across the team.
- Report to the Senior Manager for Legal Operations, providing clear and timely updates on caseload performance, significant risks, key deadlines and case strategy.
- Ensure compliance with agreed KPIs and SLAs, maintaining high standards of delivery and client service.
- Produce insightful internal and external reports using tools such as Power BI and PowerPoint.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of legal processes, precedents, and standard documentation.
- Identify and propose opportunities to enhance client service delivery, operational efficiency, and internal processes.
- Attend and actively contribute to meetings with key stakeholders, clients, and third parties.
- Support the development of colleagues through feedback, training and where appropriate, supervision
- Keep up to date with legal developments, industry trends, and best practice to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Proactively identify opportunities for growth and development within legal operations.

Essential
We tend to look for people with:
- Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with Litigation Practice Rights.
- A minimum of 1 year PQE.
- Proven litigation experience with a strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), including multi-track matters.
- Stays updated on industry developments, legal updates, and best practices.
- Builds and maintains strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication.

- Experience within the telecommunications or utilities sectors.
- Business development experience.
- Interest and/or experience with legal technology.
